Angela M. will be moderating BOAR / Aeneid and 4th grade literature. I was born and raised in SE Michigan, which is where we currently reside. I am a product of the public school system, went to college for mechanical engineering, and was employed within the automotive industry. Prior to having children, my husband and I said that we'd *never* homeschool, but God had different plans for us! :) My family is now going into our 10th year of homeschooling using Memoria Press with students in grades 10th, 8th, and 5th. Cassie V. is starting her tenth year of homeschooling and is thrilled to be returning to the Vita Beata community. Cassie hails from Ohio with her husband and three children. Between Latin and Literature lessons, they can be found on the soccer field or camping.
Catherine S. is entering into her tenth year as a Memoria Press homeschool mom. She has five children in grades 1st to 9th and has been a MP Mom from the start. A native of Georgia, Catherine lives in a rural dairy community where her family enjoys life on their small hobby farm while drag racing on the weekends. When not in the schoolroom or kitchen, you will find her in her garden listening to an audiobook while tending her flowers.

We enjoy Memoria Press history, science and Latin among other things. Around here we are fans of reading both aloud (recently Ranger's Apprentice books, C.S. Lewis and Laura Ingalls Wilder) and independently. When I'm not homeschooling and reading I love to be outside with my plants."

I was also at one point planning to enroll in the Highlands Latin School because my friends went there. However, I decided homeschooling was better for me academically. If you’ve watched Home Alone 2, Kevin’s uncle’s renovating brownstone to where he lures the thieves was filmed a few blocks from us. I have 3 beautiful daughters, 10 and 7 and 7. Yes, two of them are twin girls! They will be rising 3rd graders in 2025-2026. I have been homeschooling for 6 years, when my oldest was entering Kindergarten. My oldest has taken Vita Beata classes the last 2 years, which has been a blessing. This will be my first year moderating at Vita Beata. Prior to becoming a homeschooling mama, I worked as a CPA for 5 years and then got my MBA and worked on Wall Street in finance for 11 years. I never thought I would be a homeschooling mom, but God had other plans for my life. Although I worked in finance and with numbers mostly, I was an English Literature major in college and love literature. I am very excited about reading along and moderating the 3rd Grade Literature class and the Greek Myths class!"

I recently retired from full time midwifery to stay at home full time with the 5 going on 6 beautiful children God has granted my husband and I the privilege to raise. For 2025-26 we will have 9th grade, 7th grade, 4th grade, and 2nd grade students, plus toddler sister and new little baby sister in the mix! Rachel F. is a veteran educator and homeschool mom from sunny Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and spent 18 years teaching high school computer science at a private school. From 2020-2024, she also taught part-time for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, where she led computer science courses for advanced learners. Rebecca D. "Though I did not moderate last year, I have been a moderator for Vita Beata classes in literature as well as history readers in previous years. This next year I will be moderating 6th Grade Supplemental Reading for American Studies and 9th Grade Literature w/ The British Tradition I: Poetry, Prose & Drama. We are a retired USAF family currently living in Texas. We have six children 32-12 and a grandchild. Our two oldest children graduated from a private preparatory school. Our middle three children moved from a private classical preparatory school to classical homeschooling graduating in 2020, 2022, & 2024. We are down to our youngest child who has always been homeschooled and will be in Memoria Accelerated 7. I was classically inspired educated learning Latin as well as reading the classics. Shannon S. is a second generation homeschooling mom of five. Like most homeschool moms, her daily life finds her teaching the kids, juggling all the things from sports to music activities to menu planning, and also actively participating in her role as pastor's wife. This is her fourth year moderating (this year 6th literature), her family's sixth year participating in Vita Beata, and her tenth year of homeschooling with Memoria Press. Shannon has a degree in music history and French and has taught music privately and in classroom settings from elementary to collegiate level.
