I am a pastor's wife, and we currently live in Minnesota, although we have also lived in Indiana and Kansas. Before marriage and children, I taught several elementary grades and music in a parochial school. I enjoy playing the organ, hiking, and baking. This will be our second year with Vita Beata, which has been such a rich addition to our homeschool."

Angela M. will be moderating 5th grade literature. "I was born and raised in SE Michigan, which is where we currently reside. I am a product of the public school system, went to college for mechanical engineering, and was employed within the automotive industry. Prior to having children, my husband and I said that we'd *never* homeschool, but God had different plans for us! :) My family is now going into our 11th year of homeschooling using Memoria Press with students in grades 11th, 9th, and 6th. This is my fifth year moderating for Vita Beata and through it I've discovered a deep appreciation for ancient histories and literature."
Anna S. "I am a homeschooling mom to eight children. I grew up in Russia and moved to the United States in 2007. I currently live in New England. I have been homeschooling for 13 years. It’s our sixth year using Memoria Press curriculum and fifth year participating with Vita Beata (my third year as a moderator). I have a major in World literature and linguistics. I love reading great books and learning from them. I am looking forward to another year of leading discussions with the students and learning together. My hobbies include running, hiking, sewing and learning foreign languages.”
Ashley B. "I am a homeschooling mother to eleven children (four have graduated) and we live in Virginia. I have been homeschooling for 19 years, this is our fifth year using Memoria Press and our second year participating in Vita Beata. I love history, and am looking forward to studying and discussing American History with your high school students again this year! My hobbies include cooking, entertaining, and interior design."

I have been blessed to be able to homeschool our 5 children that range from 12-2 years old for the last 7 years. I have a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from the University of Florida. I previously have taught at a co-op and was a coordinator there."
Britlyn R. "This will be my second year moderating and I'm looking forward to digging into the content with your kiddos! My husband and I have 4 children- 16, 13 and twin 10 year olds. We have been homeschooling for 7 years. My family enjoys hiking, reading classics and theology, floating with our friends and church family, sports, and petting our donkeys, goat, and dog!"
Cassie V. is starting her eleventh year of homeschooling and is thrilled to be returning to the Vita Beata community. Cassie hails from Ohio with her husband and three children. Between Latin and Literature lessons, they can be found on the soccer field or camping.
Catherine S. is entering into her eleventh year as a Memoria Press homeschool mom to her five children, grades 3rd through 10th. A native of Georgia, Catherine lives in a rural dairy community where her family enjoys life on their small hobby farm while drag racing on the weekends. When not in the schoolroom or kitchen, you will find her in her garden listening to an audiobook while tending her flowers.
"My name is Cecilia C. and our family has homeschooled from the beginning. My four children range in age from 18 down to 8 and this year we have our first graduate. Memoria Press has been a huge part of our homeschool for many years. We especially love their science, Classical studies, Latin and literature. I've been moderating classes for 5 years and next year I'll be moderating Greek Myths which my youngest will be taking. Around here aside from homeschooling we love to read, we have a few piano players and soccer players, and my husband and I both teach catechism at our parish. Additionally I enjoy gardening and cooking."
Cheryl K. "Hello! This is my second year using Memoria Press, and I’m really excited to be moderating with Vita Beata for the first time. I live in the United Kingdom and have four children. Three of them have completed their home education journey and gone on to university, while I continue to home educate my youngest, Gabriel, who is nine. I truly love learning and discovering new things. History and mythology are subjects I’m especially passionate about, so I’m really looking forward to teaching the Greek Myths class this year. It’s going to be a joy to learn together!"
Christina W. is a 2nd generation homeschooler with a BS in Computer Science. She has homeschooled her three children (12th, 9th, and 5th) from the beginning of their education. This is Christina’s sixth year with Vita Beata. Her classes assume the student has prepared well in reading and answering the student guide. We then use Socratic discussion to go deeper into the meaning of literature. This discussion will not drill your student for the included MP guide test.
Cortney S. is a homeschooling mom of two. She is entering her 11th year of homeschooling and her 9th year using Memoria Press. Cortney teaches at a local Highlands Latin cottage school. She loves books, plants, and coffee. This will be her fourth year moderating with Vita Beata.

"Hello, my name is Dahveed S. I am 17 years old this year. I will be moderating American History Supplemental Reading for 4th grade. This is my second year moderating the same course and I’m really enjoying it! As a high school homeschooler I have studied a number of subjects with Memoria Press. I was also at one point planning to enroll in the Highlands Latin School because my friends went there. However, I decided homeschooling was better for me academically. I have a special place for history in my heart, and am fond of sharing this science with others. My hobbies include photography, nature study, space and visiting national parks."

We live in Washington state at the foot of the beautiful Cascade Mountain Range. Next year, we will be diving into all things 3rd and 7th grade. Vita Beata was a huge boon this past year, so I am looking forward to moderating an all-time favorite: D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths. I was drawn to MP through their literature guides and have enjoyed walking with Vita Beata students through most grade levels of literature as well as Homer, Virgil, and a few history classes. I have enjoyed working with children in many capacities since I was 11 years old, which led to my B.S. in Early Childhood Ed. I also work as a nurse part-time, so my husband (who is a pastor) and I are BUSY, but we wouldn't have it any other way! We have 4 children ages 14, 12, 9, & 4, plus a dog and chickens. Nathalia W. is a proud Air Force wife and homeschooling mom of two wonderful children. This is her second year moderating for Vita Beata and is eager to dive into Fourth and Sixth Grade Literature. In her leisure time, Nathalia enjoys baking bread, reading, sewing, and curating her family’s home library. Her favorite genres to read are classical literature, historical non-fiction, and theology.
Rachel A. is a Midwestern transplant to Alabama, and has seven children ranging from 13 years old down to one. She has been homeschooling for 8 years and is on her 4th year using Memoria Press full time. She has a BS in nursing, and she now uses her many years of bedside nursing to tend to her family and to add interest to the homeschool science labs she teaches through co-ops. She loves the entire MP program, most especially the literature guides, and is excited to moderate for her first time this year.
Rachel F. is a veteran educator and homeschool mom from sunny Florida. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and spent 18 years teaching high school computer science at a private school. From 2020-2024, she also taught part-time for the Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth, where she led computer science courses for advanced learners. Rachel has been homeschooling her four children (ages 15 to 8) from the start, making this her eleventh year both homeschooling and using Memoria Press curriculum.
Rebecca D. "I have been a moderator for Vita Beata classes in literature as well as history readers in previous years. This next year I will be moderating 9th Grade Modern Studies, Book of the Middle Ages and Renaissance and Reformation Times. We are a retired USAF family currently living in Texas. We have six children 33-13 and a grandchild. Our two oldest children graduated from a private preparatory school. Our middle three children moved from a private classical preparatory school to classical homeschooling graduating in 2020, 2022, & 2024. We are down to our youngest child who has always been homeschooled and will be in Memoria Accelerated 8. I was classically inspired educated learning Latin as well as reading the classics. I look forward to next year’s history study!"

Sarah K. Hello! I have been homeschooling for 11 years now and have three precious children ages 13, 10, and 4. We have been with Memoria Press full core for about 9 of those years. This will be my second time moderating after trying out a summer session last year and I LOVED it. It was then that I realized, that I really enjoy doing it, even if I feel a little nervous everytime I get on. I've taken up cross-stitching when I have time, and hope to teach homeschooling art in the summer and the fall as well. I am really looking forward to being challenged this year with the students as I chart into more challenging literature. I love literature and reading very much so I am hoping it will spill over into moderating this year!
Shannon S. is mom to a gaggle of homeschooled children ages 7-16. She herself was homeschooled in the 80s when it wasn’t cool and can testify that we homeschoolers are indeed, plenty socialized enough. Her favorite past classes to lead have been 4th and 7th grade literature but she’s looking forward to the fun challenge of upper classes this year. Before kids, she taught piano privately and music history at a university.

Tabitha H. is excited to be moderating 7th grade literature this year. This will be her first year serving as a moderator, and she’s truly looking forward to the experience. She has been homeschooling for over 14 years and lives in Kentucky. She has four children—three have completed their homeschool journey, and the youngest is in 7th grade. This is their second year using Memoria Press, and they are absolutely loving it! Over the years, she has had the joy of walking through many different stages of learning with her children, which has been such a rewarding experience. Tammy S. has been a homeschool mom for 23 years. She has been using Memoria Press for most of those years. She has also been a Classical Conversations Challenge 1 and 3 Director. This is her first year as a Vita Beata moderator and she is excited to read through The City of God and Cicero with these students.
